Nvidia’s Next-Gen AI Chip in High Demand as CEO Jensen Huang Announces Full Production
Nvidia (NVDA) is buzzing with excitement as CEO Jensen Huang announced that their next-generation artificial intelligence chip, Blackwell, is in full production and the demand for it is “insane.” In a recent appearance on CNBC, Huang shared that everyone wants to have the latest and greatest, resulting in a surge of interest in their highly anticipated AI platform.
This news sent Nvidia’s stock up almost 3% during midday trading on Thursday, continuing a strong upward trend that has seen the chipmaker’s stock climb over 152% so far this year. The company reported in August that they had shipped samples of Blackwell to customers during the second quarter and production is expected to ramp up in the fourth quarter and into fiscal year 2026.
To ensure optimal production yield, Nvidia made a minor change to Blackwell’s GPU mask, but Huang reassured analysts that no functional changes were needed. Despite previous reports of delays due to design flaws, Nvidia remains confident in their ability to meet demand, with expectations to generate several billion dollars in Blackwell revenue in the fourth quarter.
During a technology conference hosted by Goldman Sachs, Huang spoke about the overwhelming demand for Blackwell, noting that customers were getting “emotional” and “tense” as they awaited delivery. He emphasized the company’s commitment to driving innovation and improving capabilities while reducing costs and energy consumption, highlighting Nvidia’s continued focus on advancing technology in a rapidly evolving landscape.
As the industry continues to evolve at a rapid pace, Nvidia remains at the forefront of innovation, delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the demands of customers seeking top-of-the-line AI technology.
