Stocks to Watch: NFLX, ISRG, WDFC and Others

Netflix, the streaming giant, saw a pop of over 4% after beating third-quarter earnings expectations. With earnings of $5.40 per share on $9.83 billion in revenue, Netflix continues to dominate the streaming industry. Notably, the company reported a 35% increase in ad-tier memberships quarter over quarter.

Intuitive Surgical, the maker of the da Vinci surgical robot, also saw a jump of about 5% after surpassing third-quarter earnings estimates. With earnings of $1.84 per share on $2.04 billion in revenue, Intuitive Surgical outperformed analyst predictions.

On the flip side, WD-40, the maintenance product maker, experienced a drop of more than 4% after a disappointing fiscal fourth-quarter earnings report. Despite earning $1.23 per share, the company projects lower profits for fiscal 2025.

OceanFirst Financial, on the other hand, saw shares rise by 2.8% after beating consensus estimates with earnings of 39 cents per share in the third quarter. However, net interest income and margin fell short of forecasts.

MGP Ingredients, the spirits and food ingredient maker, faced a nearly 20% tumble in its stock after warning of disappointing third-quarter results and revising its full-year guidance downwards. CEO David Bratcher cited weak alcohol trends and high whiskey inventories as contributing factors to the poor performance.

Marten Transport, a trucking company, experienced a nearly 3% drop in shares after reporting lower-than-expected third-quarter earnings. Both revenue and operating income also fell short of analyst forecasts.

Supernus Pharmaceuticals, on the other hand, saw shares rise by as much as 5% after announcing promising results from a Phase 2a study of an antidepressant therapy. The study showed a “rapid and substantial decrease” in depressive symptoms, sparking investor interest in the pharmaceutical company.
