Two China ETFs take diverging directions

Welcome to Extreme Investor Network, where we provide unique insights and valuable information on the world of finance. Today, we’re diving into the fascinating world of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that are focused on profiting from China’s market with two distinct strategies.

First up, we have the Roundhill China Dragons ETF, which launched recently and focuses on investing in China’s largest stocks. Led by Roundhill Investments CEO Dave Mazza, this ETF hones in on nine specific companies that exhibit characteristics similar to those seen in the U.S. market. Despite its recent inception, the Roundhill China Dragons ETF has seen a decline of almost 5% since its launch on October 3.

On the other hand, we have the Rayliant Quantamental China Equity ETF, managed by Jason Hsu of Rayliant Global Advisors. This ETF takes a hyper-local approach, investing in local Chinese companies that may be less familiar to U.S. investors but have the potential for significant gains. Hsu emphasizes that high-growth stocks in China extend beyond just technology companies, highlighting industries like water sales and restaurant chains as lucrative investment opportunities.

What sets the Rayliant Quantamental China Equity ETF apart is its focus on providing access to unique investment opportunities that may not be widely researched outside of China. Despite this niche approach, the ETF has delivered impressive returns, boasting over a 24% increase since the beginning of the year.
